AWAKENING AND CD21 £12 The first solo album from legendary drummer Clive Bunker, a founder member of rock giants Jethro Tull and now a member of both Vikki Clayton's band and Prog-Rockers SOLSTICE. Clive also toured last year with the guitar spectacular featuring Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, The Eleanor Rigby experience, and Jackie McAuley's Poormouth. Early 2001 saw him on the road again with the Jerry Donahue & Clive Bunker Band. Clive has written all the tracks on the album, and the amazing variety of material clearly demonstrates his musical dexterity and eclectic background, from the overtly 'pop' sound of Swayo through heavy rockers like Do We Know Where We're Going? to the bizarre and aptly named Strange Riff, with a couple of percussive show-cases thrown in for good measure! Clive is joined on the album by Ian Anderson and Martin Barre, his friends from the Tull days, and other musicians include Andy Glass (Solstice), Dave Lennox (Blodwyn Pig), Jim Rodford (The Kinks), John Batrum, Graham Dee and Vikki Clayton. back to band list Price: £12 # 051(CD21) |
