One (AND CD 7) £10 A mostly acoustic album from Blodwyn Pig main man Mick Abrahams. Seriously virtuoso guitar, with special guest Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) playing flute, mandolin, and harmonica. *** REVIEWS *** Q MAGAZINE Reviewed: June 1996 Genre: Rock & Pop Release Date: 17-Mar-1997 The reconciliation then, is nearly complete. Having fallen out famously in the '60s, Mick Abrahams and erstwhile Tull P-45 dispenser Ian Anderson at last appear together on an album. True, the Tull front man only guests on four tracks (just enough to provide the necessary commercial boost), but he's there, mandolin and harmonica in tow. For the rest, Abrahams takes to the solo Stratocaster to demonstrate again what a versatile blues player he is, whether it's a re-work of Jesus On The Mainline, Johnson's Driftin' Blues, or concoting his own - Old Mother Nicotine and Just Passing By. A change of pace from today's raucous and brash Blodwyn Pig that fans can investigate with confidence - presumably while they await the reformation of original blues legends Jethro Tull.
